For sure. Like, I’ve changed out light fixtures and things, and sometimes I have a question, but my electrician is a hefty enough fee that if I needed to call him out, I would want to have a list of things, and I end up delaying.

YES! I think she also realizes that in doing that, she’s created a prison of her own making (especially over the past few years). And I hope this documentary addresses giant taylor. If there are 3 in the video- poet, showgirl, giant, then the doc could be giant Taylor’s story.

I sometimes see the people in the dining room looking at her/through her in a way that maybe she feels unseen or she feels unwelcome because she didn’t do what the dinner party circle expected her to do in the Lover era. she went from being in the tea circle to crawling back tail tucked.

I also think it shows that in her larger than life role, she’s constantly called upon to use her platform and then criticized for doing so, because people think she’s making it about her. She seems so despondent,l as she puts on the button, because she knows the pattern and awaits the backlash

I have a lot of thoughts. For the longest time the placing of the button over the blurple spoke to the FCO. But I can see it generally as how often she hides her true feelings/pain with the PR/character/spin of it all and she’s learned that showing true vulnerability publicly isn’t well received.

Not sure if this got connected at some point, but in Opalite, she finally leaves the table, because failure brought her freedom (she could bring the kids home to the Christmas tree farm). And I remember when people were saying the sounds of Opalite are very “Christmas music” style.

Inserting myself into the conversation here to say an acquaintance I was speaking with at a wedding recently mentioned that she likes that Trav shows that it’s ok for men to be supportive of a partner who is strong and confident and good at their job. I think we don’t discuss that impact as often.
