I don’t think it’s her best work by a mile. But I mean if it makes me happy to listen to it, I think it’s a good enough album for the songs to be in my regular rotation.

I like the Motown callback in Wood. The intro is super similar to I Want You Back by the Jackson 5. And I’m always a sucker for cheeky and silly lyrics.
I’d give it an earnest listen if you’re willing and haven’t yet.

If you haven’t already I’ll share my perspective. I do think that this is personally the weakest of her albums lyrically. It’s kind of her attempt at a Sabrina-esque album and the lyrics are corny out of her mouth. BUT the sound is fantastic imo. Shellback and Martin did their thing.
