Reading Q Hayashida's debut oneshot, Sofa-chan, about a musclebound half naked ghost woman that lives in a couch and helps her owner relax. She has such a beautiful mind

Finished reading Hagio Moto's Mesh. It feels like a prototype for A Savage God Reigns, and it doesn't hit as hard as that work, but it's still superb. Her art is some of the strongest in the medium, as always, and the combination between insane melodrama and more serious stuff works well

My friend was undeterred by unprovoked aggression from a red wing blackbird and continued to hang out and endure the awful mosquito plague in Madison rn

It has its moments (sex scene in a pool of oxygenated liquid/LCL, some character moments, a lot of the water treatment details) but unfortunately making your protagonist at the margins of society also an estranged heiress to a megacorp creates... problems for the narrative

Also stumbled across Delynn's (inactive) account on the other site a short while ago and it's mostly boring (a lot of dead vimeo links and contrarianism) but there's some gold there too

Gotta love that Shin-ichi Sakamoto mad genius

Nu Medicine Seller is unfortunately a weaker design, but they also made him less of a smug above it all bastard who's always one step ahead. He does too much running around and being cool and is actually in jeopardy sometimes in the film! Bring back my boy!

How hand stuff feels for an outcast loner who hates being around people and just wants to climb mountains all the time

So weird to be reading a Shinichi Sakamoto manga where the men are burly freaks and the women stick insects instead of everyone, (executioners, royals, and Jacobins alike) looking like theyre world famous models

a lot of the manga is our serial killer cross dressing protag raping and murdering for laughs but Tezuka undeniably brings his A game for the art
