Simple, but not easy.

Smart people feel stupid doing simple things, so we invent complicated alternatives that accomplish less but feel more intellectually satisfying.

Meanwhile, the people who dominate their fields are doing embarrassingly basic things, but they do them better than everyone else.

Okay. It seems spec-kit (or in general, currently AI) is not too good at creating projects (until very super simple).

It can follow each instruction in the spec word by word yet fail to create a simple UI (black background with brown text 🤨).

If there is a small problem in the app (for me, it was showing the error text alongside the error border), you might need to change your entire spec. Which will take a lot of time and prompts.

Instead of using typescript, use javascript to create a working demo first.

At first glance, it looks like spec-kit will be able to build a production grade app (with it spec, plan, task files) but it does not.

More important is prototyping or proof of concept SPECs at first.

Adaptable. You can find alternate paths to success. You don't need things to be a certain way to be happy.

Accountable. You feel personally responsible for what you want to accomplish. It is not someone else's job. It's your job.

Cheerful. You are pleasant to work with and generally raise the level of energy in the room.
