I find the curse of the PhD is reading secondary literature over-stuffed with citations. The type that makes you feel you need to look at these in case you’re missing something important. Can’t help feeling we’re in the era of performative citing. 🤷🏻♂️

I put on Remain in Light’s quicker side on the turntable when my 20 something kids were last home and asked them to guess the year. Still sounds utterly fresh. In Bush, Eno added extra melodic nuance to Byrne’s natural rhythmic flair.

Very nice. One of my EHX loopers allows loops to degrade slowly to allow Brian Eno (Discreet Music) type iterative layering. Is there an EHX Pog in your setup anywhere?
