This orbweaver moved into our backyard last weekend. Every evening I watch her spin a web across our sliding glass door, and every morning before I leave for work I look for her tucked into the doorjamb

4. Do I have to be an APHA and/or UAW member to be included in the list you will submit to the court? Yes. The lawsuit was brought only on behalf of named plaintiffs, which include APHA and UAW. Therefore, any judgments in the case will only extend to APHA and/or UAW members who are included on the list we submit to the court, and to the other named plaintiffs. You only need to be a member of one of these associations, not both.

I have an application in limbo or administratively withdrawn for a pipeline program that has been terminated or for an unpublished NOFO, do I meet the criteria for a delayed, pending, or withdrawn application? Yes, you meet the criteria for a delayed, pending, or withdrawn application. Applications that have been administratively withdrawn or for which you have heard no news about since submitting are within the scope of Phase 2, even if the program itself has been terminated. However, you do not meet the criteria if you have not yet submitted an application but have been told that an application you are planning on submitting is unlikely to be awarded. You must currently have a pending, withdrawn, or delayed application.

1. Will the supplemental list include terminated grants? No, the upcoming supplemental list will not include terminated grants. The issue of grant terminations was litigated in Phase 1 of our lawsuit, which has a final judgment that is up on appeal. That judgement only applies to terminations that were reported to the court by June 13th. However, we are continuing to think through ways to advocate for terminated grants that are not on the spreadsheet covered by the court’s order and encourage you to submit your information so you can be considered in potential future advocacy.

The UAW/ACLU/APHA are seeking details on NIH grant applications that were delayed or withdrawn. The previous deadline of August 4 has been extended to August 25. I’ll include screenshots of FAQs in the replies. Please share widely!

EPA has research centers all across the US and I encourage people near them to raise a fuss. NC folks, I’m really looking at you — RTP is the biggest EPA research center (and EPA facility altogether). People have already been leaving in droves

Notice of funding opportunities/grants.gov pages (see MOSAIC K99/R00 here) getting closed out again, on a Friday evening to boot. So you open ‘em up, in some cases <24 hr before the deadline, only to close them a week later.
