Isn’t it coming down because so many people are emigrating?
November 28, 2025 at 6:52 AM
But to be honest having English MAGA burn itself out is probably the last step we need to go through before we can have another referendum on Brexit. Just thinking demographically.
November 26, 2025 at 8:56 AM
Learn from our mistakes?? In this country?? No way. We’ll reward Farage for his part in Brexit by making him PM first.
November 26, 2025 at 8:41 AM
But sovereignty!! 😂
November 26, 2025 at 8:38 AM
Loads of fun I’m sure
November 24, 2025 at 10:43 AM
The ‘truth’ doesn’t need facts, I think that’s how it goes.
November 23, 2025 at 8:27 PM
Since Labour got in they’ve gone full on crazy.
November 12, 2025 at 7:44 PM
X is a platform being used to undermine the stability of the country at this point. It’s astonishing to me that the government still uses it. Might as well use Truth Social.
November 8, 2025 at 10:31 AM
I’m sorry you think I’m lecturing you, I thought we were having a conversation. Sorry about that. I agree that there is a difference but the narratives I talked about are the ones you keep hearing. That’s why I’m thinking why not introduce a new one?
November 7, 2025 at 12:19 PM
Yes, but at the point we’ve moved everyone out of the hotels and into old military barracks what are we going to do with them? If the choice is get out and help weed whack or whatever for minimum wage or sit on my arse I know what I’d choose. It doesn’t need to be complicated.
November 7, 2025 at 12:16 PM
Of course, but on a deeper level we’re all to some extent forced to work aren’t we?
November 7, 2025 at 12:13 PM
I agree with you and you can do both things. But if just telling people that what they think is racist and they should stop the world would look a lot different now. Dragging the Overton window back to where it was even in the mid 90’s is going to take a long time.
November 7, 2025 at 10:52 AM
I should have said encouraged rather than required.
When people talk about the ‘concerns’ they have about immigration what comes up a lot is groups of young men hanging around near hotels, we need to give them something to do rather than just accuse people of racism.
November 7, 2025 at 10:44 AM
You can’t compel people to do work, but I honestly can’t see the issue with a ‘new deal’ type scheme offering people awaiting a decision on their claims the chance to do something useful in the local community. I’ve never said that our problems are anyone else’s fault.
November 7, 2025 at 10:35 AM
Yeah I’m not a brainy one with a phd for sure. I just see these young people sitting around not working in a country full of crumbling infrastructure and wondering if one thing couldn’t help the other. Apparently this makes me a big dummy.
November 7, 2025 at 10:28 AM
Yeah I know, I’m talking about what people can do whilst they’re waiting on decisions. Stopping people working is inhumane. It’d be good if there was some organised program of ‘new deal’ type work for them to do.
November 7, 2025 at 10:00 AM
It’s not they’re just convenient scapegoat/ punching bag. It’s hard to hate someone if they’re out all day doing meaningful jobs in the community tho. Just sitting around doing nothing all day is torture. I was unemployed for about 3 months about 10 years ago and it almost mad me suicidal.
November 7, 2025 at 9:34 AM
If only it were that easy given the media landscape in this country.
November 7, 2025 at 9:26 AM
Section 95 applies. And they are entitled to housing. I’ve literally supported people who’ve claimed asylum been successful and put into housing. I’m not saying that’s a bad thing. That’s what should happen, it’d be good if whilst people were waiting on decisions we could keep them busy somehow.
November 7, 2025 at 9:20 AM
But it’s such a profitable issue for them…

Plus…

“They’re trying to silence me for speaking out about immigration!?!?!”
November 7, 2025 at 9:13 AM
Goes without saying, many of them end up working illegally anyway. I think if we had some work program where they could do something meaningful in the local area it’d be more useful than having people work for uber eats or whatever. But what do I know I’m a cunt apparently.
November 7, 2025 at 9:08 AM
I know this, you know this. The British public?
November 7, 2025 at 9:03 AM
How do you combat the narrative that ‘they’re only here to claim benefits and get a house’ otherwise. You have people struggling working there arses off seeing people ‘sitting in hotels doing nothing.’ Surely it’s better for the migrants themselves to be working. There’s plenty to be done too.
November 7, 2025 at 8:51 AM
They should be required to work
