TENFOLD -- so ten letter answers are folded into two 5-letter halves. For example, British dessert similar to a cannoli is a BRANDY SNAP -- imagine taking the back half of that phrase (YSNAP) and folding it underneath the front half, you end up with BRAND on top of PANSY!

The clue you need for that one is 59A, but the real key to the puzzle is at 25D

I set it up so both directions are valid every day! When you make your first guess the game checks which direction has more correct answers and gives out greens based on that direction.
