What's the maximum number of wrappers you've gotten on a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup before? 'Cuz I just pulled nine off this one cup.

Went out and got one at the downtown Redmond location earlier after reading this. It was good and the mango jalapeno sauce was fantastic, though maybe hid some flavors.

@damianedwards.com You've posted before about Woodinville Whiskey, right? The 9 year bourbon is at the Redline Costco in the cabinet. I hadn't seen that one before.

@holz-bau.bsky.social Picked up a copy in the Amazon sale. Not my professional domain, but I can't wait to read it.

Genius design for chairs at the airport. Nothing can get stuck in the seat because your phone falls right through to the floor.

Successful multimodal bike and rail commute today on the new 2 Line from downtown Redmond to downtown Bellevue.

The e-bike makes the last mile home possible, returning up a big hill.

First train out of Downtown Redmond! 🎉

(ish. Lots of VIP trains ran all week. They've been testing for months. Still counts as the first if you ask me.)

Something like 30 people boarding the northbound train that only goes from Bellevue to Microsoft. Can't wait for the full ride to downtown Redmond next month.

@raygunsite.com With all the Dept of Education talk, I think it's time to bring back the COVID era homeschooling shirt. Blue shirt, white text. (Maybe a red shirt, white text version too and sell to both sides, but give those profits to an edu non-profit.)

I tried the periodic egg cooking method from that paper last month. I think my eggs hadn't yet reached room temperature and ended up being too cold and not cooking quite to the level theirs did.

Back to the Future: The Musical at the Paramount tonight. The sound mix is a little messy, IMO.

I smoked a turkey yesterday and it was extraordinary.

One of the smart things I did during a remodel was have outlets installed under each of the eaves on the front of the house. Don't need an extension cord for the Christmas lights.

Good way to start a Saturday: I finished the new Factorio: Space Age expansion. It's a perfect game. They took the original, twisted it to give new challenges, and delivered a masterpiece. Every frustration is a learning opportunity and the reward is a new way to think.

Made my best chicken wings yet tonight. Par-boiled for 8 minutes to about 175 degrees, then air dried on the counter for about 20 minutes, then tossed in oil and finished on the grill. Tossed in sauce then tossed in my mouth. 💯

I tried chasing the Factorio speed run achievements last week. Third try was the charm!

First attempt took 8 hours and 55 minutes, next took 8:31, and the third run was great at 7:34. I didn't follow any build guides, though I have watched speedruns before, and it was a pretty random map seed.

Found a copy of Excel 1.5 for Mac (1988) still in shrink wrap at the thrift store.

Now to figure it out the Microsoft Archives has a complete copy before deciding what happens to it. I love that one of the features listed is support for color monitors.

My COVID "shadow box" contents that my grandkids can take to show and tell in 50 years.

The post-it note from when I decided to work from home for a week (the office then closed that week), a positive at home COVID test, a Moderna vial, a mask, and other misc stuff.
