the good news is that CSS view-timeline animation will replace some of the need to have IO. eventually...!

fair point! for something so self contained like the react hook above it would be a shame having to import, instantiate and spread props. definitely a better option when it has arguments etc

but I wonder if you could not just export an object with keys like `onclick` from a svelte.js file where those event handlers manipulate a local $state to store something temporarily?

i think you are right that it is probably attachments. createAttachmentKey could be useful in the scenario svelte.dev/docs/svelte/...
