After 13 days of using the dog salon tonight was the first time in the new improved shower 😶🥰

I've just got to fit the walls, floor, new radiator, toilet and basin before it's finished...

😑

Yay 😑

Found out why there was always a bad smell from the bath waste regardless of how many times I cleaned it

The previous owners made this waste pipe go uphill 😑😑😑

I'll add "remove kitchen ceiling too replace waste pipe" to the list of jobs....

😑😑😑😑😑🫠

Bathroom update..

Pipes & wires sorted out and clipped to the wall.

They were in a right mess 😑

They'll be behind a false wall inside a cupboard

Tomorrow is plastering, fitting waste pipes, ceiling lights & maybe the first ceiling panels

Guess what I'm doing for my 2 week holiday...

🫠😑

After the recent rains the weeds instantly arrived, it took quite a bit of effort to remove them from the allotment onion and asparagus beds. I've still another onion bed to clear, but it's quite nice work with an audiobook for company

Cucumber season is nearly upon us..

Going to have a go at pickling this year 🙂

A robin made its nest in an old plant pot in our greenhouse over the winter. There's a small gap in one of the panels where it gets in & out

I've put out water & a fat ball, might get some meal worms now it's got a growing family!

It had 6 eggs, most of which hatched this afternoon 🙂

Early morning dog walk..

I just love windmills 🙂

There's just something about them

Today has been a day for doing a bit more allotment prep..

I've planted on about 35 aubergine seedlings, there's still another 70ish left 😶

Also did 18 sweet long peppers, 18 cooking tomatoes & a load of lettuce

I'll start some more lettuce off tomorrow & plant on stone jalapenos

Washing machine motor brushes..

I last replaced them about 18 years ago

Cost to buy £5

I'm off on Friday so I'll fit them, along with a new drain pump and shock absorbers..

Total cost for all the parts, £37

It should be good for another 20 years of washing 😂

Today's allotment job..

Shoveling shit

I'll put it into bags & compost bays to rot down a bit more

Part of the work yesterday was to lift the weed membrane that covered most of the plot

I installed it about 5 years ago, it did its job but we've decided to build clover paths & long narrow beds

We're going to remove all the raised beds while I'm at it

The bags are full of bindweed roots 😶

I didn't get a chance to post any pictures yesterday as we were too busy - the sun was shining so we were making hay (proverbial)

The bottom of the plot has turned into a mess, we used to grow strawberries & carrots in the tubs/baths

But we're getting rid of those & planting asparagus

I forgot to post this yesterday..

We've got a Bosch washing machine that's at least 17 years old

I've replaced the bushes on the motor as well as the rubber seal against the door

Lately it's not been spinning properly.. I took it to pieces & fault traced it to this bit 😶

It was full of crud

What more do you want on a sunny spring day - empty roads and sunshine 🙂

It was quite warm in the weak sun..

😑 The wind decided I was going to have head wind regardless of the direction of travel

It's rude not to ride a bike on a perfect spring day

Another trip to the magical woods for this morning's poodle 🐩 🐩 walk

Lots of running, bouncing, jumping, playing and generally enjoying themselves..

They're now recovering on the sofa*

I did a bit of a test with 3d printing a gpx route

This is my favourite "go to" ride, it takes between 1'45"-2'30" depending how many hills I add in..

Those who cycle around Hull will probably recognise the route 🙂

The close up is an "enjoyable" little hill, with lovely sections at 18%

Just look at the sunshine this morning 🌄🥰

I can feel the winter blues being cast aside

I really think I suffer from SAD
February 25, 2025 at 10:10 AM
It's sunny, it's nearly spring and flowers are flowering

🙂

Linear rails ftw

One of these trails is not like the other 🤔😑

That's what happens when you buy cheap 🤣

This afternoon's job - clean, lube & reassemble*

My eyes are too old for lots of 2.3mm ball bearings

🙂👍

I like!

Do I become a good little consumer and buy all the things?*

*Not a hope - I like to mend things

Today's beautiful dog walk was ruined by two nasty elderly sisters who got right up in our faces & called the police..

😑

I refuse to let it ruin the day

Colour or BW?

This little intense monster (Lenka) loves to be held back while I go and hide somewhere.. it's her absolute favourite game - hide and seek..

She starts squeaking & races off with her nose to the ground, normally it takes less than 60 seconds to find me 😑

It was a cold and frosty start to today's poodle walk..

Very cold 😶

But the sunrise made it all worth while
