Took my little lad to football training this morning in the heart of Burnley. There are more of them wearing C. Ronaldo shirts of various types than are wearing Burnley. Sickening 😂

Not at all convinced by Perri but sod all he can do about that. Ball was fair moving and was behind him before any human can react. That one is on Gruev. Can’t be giving the ball away so easily against teams like Arsenal

Really think the ‘promoted teams always get relegated’ thing has been exaggerated. The last two seasons those 6 teams have been especially shit. Fulham, Bournemouth and Forest before that proved it can be done. The bottom of the Premier League isn’t that great.

Was sat chatting with all the Leeds under-21s at Manchester airport yesterday and they were telling me where they were going and who they were playing against. I’m not sure if it was supposed to be secret like the first team or if it’s public knowledge 😂

The defeat isn’t the end of the world. But the manner of it is worrying. Leeds second to everything. Didn’t even look to be pushing all that much near the end. No enterprise at all. Not helped by dreadful ref decisions though.

Poor mistake from Mes in the first half but he’s pulled it together since and made some really good decisions. Glad the error hasn’t cost anything

I wouldn’t ordinarily be nervous about a game like this. It’s an exciting test. Even if we lose it wouldn’t be the end of the world. But living in Burnley territory I just can’t face the school run if that happens.
