I disagree on Allen. We got a starter on a contending team in exchange for what was a regular g-leaguer at the time.

It would be nice to see more from Turner right now, but the numbers with him and Giannis have been outstanding.

In my opinion, all the right moves at the time other than Khris for Kuzma. Grayson Allen was a very good fifth starter which was something Merrill was nowhere near ready for in 2021.

He should play more guys that aren’t 6’4”

Is that really what the on/off numbers say? I haven’t looked to be honest. Just see too many possessions of him dribbling around for 15 seconds before taking some off-balance, spinning, fade, hook over a 7 footer.

I have not enjoyed the Cole Anthony minutes. He’s been a total black hole offensively.

Jim please don't let the Bucks do this. I'm counting on you.

I’d like to see less of the three guard lineup to address the size issue. Prince over Trent or Green is probably the move to make.

You’re stirring the pot for no reason. He didn’t imply anything. Listen to the full conversation.

Sounds like sour grapes from a jilted and obviously very biased writer. This is being blown way out of proportion and taken far out of context. Not sure how anyone could come away with it being a "shot" at Haliburton if they listened to the entire conversation.

He was still in his late prime coming off a season averaging 32/7/4. You can say it didn’t work out now, but that was 100% the right move at the time.

Surprising! I haven't kept up with his newer movies, but always assumed this was one of his most popular. Definitely my favorite as well.

But is this blatant, out of context aggregation or an actual reliable summary of his quote?

Did Windhorst actually say that?

Valanciunas was killing them in the 2nd until Kostas came in and gave him some problems. Looked like the second best Greek player for a good stretch.

Not going to link any articles, but I think pretty much every single NBA media outlet has misrepresented Giannis quotes to generate trade stories/rumors out of mostly thin air for over a decade.

That backcourt rotation/competition is going to be interesting to watch
July 22, 2025 at 7:52 PM
Nice breakdown, but are you sure Rollins is an every night guy? I feel like you could swap him and Anthony and it might make more sense.
July 22, 2025 at 7:42 PM
He’s a Jon Horst draft pick. I could have told you he was going to be bad a year ago.
July 18, 2025 at 11:43 PM
And Myles Turner as your second best player isn't ideal, but it's better than Bobby Portis as your second best player and there could be more moves coming with the trade assets they have remaining (they do have some). We're barely two weeks into the offseason.
July 7, 2025 at 8:17 PM
This has to be a joke. Or you're just ignoring the injuries to Middleton, Dame, and Giannis himself over those years. Had they been healthy, they were 100% contenders in every one of those seasons. Not even debatable.
July 7, 2025 at 8:11 PM
You didn’t watch the Bucks. Doc isn’t my favorite, but he played Rollins, Porter, and Green quite a bit and they all performed well and got better throughout the course of the season. Jackson and Sims had their moments too.
July 7, 2025 at 6:19 PM
And the stretched Dame money sucks, but they're going to be awful when Giannis is gone regardless. Why not do everything you can do to put yourself in the best position right now? How different is it than trading long-term draft equity? You're mortgaging your future for the present either way.
