shouting enough about - rail nationalisation, renters rights, employment rights etc.

I personally want them to act like they have 1 term in Govt and do all they can to push the country in a progressive direction. Recent policy announcements haven’t felt that way.

I appreciate your engagement! 😊

for the future. The caps and freezes feel very constraining and make it hard to plan for the future. Sadly under no illusion that there’ll be a State Pension waiting for me - but it feels like we’re blocked from making our own provision.

This Government is doing some good things that they aren’t

employment rights in a future Bill, for example, rather than just break the manifesto promise.

I think there was plenty to agree with in the Budget, and I certainly don’t envy the choices Rachel Reeves has to make.

Again however, people my age feel blocked at every turn when saving & planning

Hi Lizzi, thanks for this information. As an avid Parliamentary watcher I did know much of this, but I’ll never say no to more context.

My primary frustration here is there is a lack of ambition from the Government to try new things. There’s no reason they couldn’t try and press ahead with day one

The more I think about this, pension salary sacrifice cap, lower cash ISA cap, Plan 2 student loan freeze, tax/NI thresholds freeze, I really have to ask what they are actually doing for younger working people like me and my generation??

I wish I hadn’t been so naive to think change was possible.
