Kate and I talked to SO many people — cast, collaborators, execs — and they were so candid about the impact "Stranger Things" has had on their lives. There's a quote here from Noah Schnapp about saying goodbye to Winona Rider on her last day that still gets me choked up. wp.me/pc8uak-1lGryT 3/x

The result is this cover story, the longest Kate or I have done for @variety.com, in which the Duffers, their collaborators and the cast explained how they are trying to stick the landing for one of the biggest TV shows of the last 25 years. (Also: That's my handwriting.) wp.me/pc8uak-1lGryT 2/x

I wish I was surprised that Deadline claims it asked questions that were actually asked by me and other journalists at this James Gunn press conference. No one from Deadline even *submitted questions* for it (and I know, because I moderated). This is just brazen and sad.

Use of the em dash is "fading"? Tell that to my keyboard!

Sure, cover this horrific exercise in bigotry, but portraits of the founders? Really? REALLY?

"…complex questions echo"

Whenever the Smithsonian opens its exhibit about this current moment, I hope this headline framed on a wall somewhere. Future generations need to understand how much the media contorted itself to launder authoritarianism as just One Of Those Funny Quirks of History.

Thanos had been on a winning streak. But when faced with facts and foes that wouldn't bend to his will, he responded with disproportionate intensity.

Everything about this is dumb and exhausting.

My colleague and friend Haley Kluge’s dog was killed last night by another dog, and the owner fled the scene. More information is below. If you live in Santa Monica and have any info, please reach out.

On the left is an excerpt of my interview with Noah Wyle on March 26, in which we discuss the possibilities for Season 2 of "The Pitt."

On the right is a story about an event for "The Pitt" that happened on April 5.

Wait, what? I love steak fries. When did they become "America's least popular fry"? Who's deciding this? How dare they?

It is mathematically false that the 2024 presidential election was a landslide. Voters did not decide "pretty overwhelmingly" that "they want President Trump back." Trump didn't even get a majority of votes. The only Democrat who's received more votes for president than Kamala Harris is Joe Biden.

There is one cited in the story.

Separately, this reply suggests that you either have not seriously looked at Rowling’s social media posts or you don’t believe there is such a thing as an “anti-trans statement.”
