It’s a fair question given the performances, and position in the league. I do think there are mitigating circumstances, crucial injuries, at crucial times, which undermined confidence and thus exposed the limitations of his steadfast commitment to his game model. 1/2.

To be fair to him, he’s been coping a completely disproportionate amount of stick. You’re right of course, and he’ll probably reflect back later and wish he’d been able to rise above it, but he is human.
