It *feels* like the install action should be like geolocation or notifications: one click away if the user grant permission …but we’ve also seen how sites got spammy with those.
Right now, all I can do is try to make a page explaining installation: thesession.org/app

A way for websites to offer themselves up for installation (to the home screen, dock, etc.) that isn’t spammy or insecure.
