I don’t know anything about Gaiman. But he always gave vibes of the “cool” Creative Writing prof who had girls falling over him. I was sad and disappointed by the allegations against him, but can’t say he didn’t seem like the type.

It was just over 10 years ago that conservative Republican Jenner, star of one of the most money worshipping shows on TV got mostly positive press for coming out as trans. Amazon Prime had a trans show as one of their earliest streaming series.

I don’t think anyone can underestimate how bad things got online the last 10 years (then multiplied quantum leaps by the pandemic). The people who were anti-trans were just the usual suspects of fundie stodgies. Then older brains short circuited and younger ones got fried.

I just get so tired of this. Reagan was an asshole. He was proud of it. You can’t watch any unscripted five minute clip of him without seeing that. He never, ever is not self-serving. And his supporters then and now loved him for it.
