The landmark VQUIN trial, recently published in the New England Journal of Medicine, demonstrates that levofloxacin is safe for preventing multidrug-resistant TB. Notably, the risk of developing TB was reduced by 60% at 54 weeks, as shown in a pre-specified meta-analysis with the TB CHAMP Trial.
