That’s so cool! I used to teach an eclectic system that incorporated a lot of kali and silat. I like the barong a little more than the bolo (just for the balance). I did more small knife stuff than machete stuff. I’ve watched HEMA video clips and it looks good, but I’ve never actually studied it.

What system or type of sword study do you practice? I don’t recognize that sword style from either a western or asian culture.

I feel for you. I had surgery a few years ago to restore my hearing to a minimal workable level. My hearing still isn’t great and I think I’m probably heading towards being deaf again as I age.
