Helpful tips for trans folks living in the US:

1) Ask your healthcare provider if you can discreetly have your diagnosis/justification for gender dysphoria changed to 'hormonal disorder not otherwise specified', since odds are good the FDA is going to ban gender-affirming care even for adults

As artists it can feel like there's a pressure to make art faster, more generic, and marketable for a wide audience. Generating art is that idea to an extreme. I think we need to embrace niche art that has thought and care put into it. Not just for clients, but making something only for yourself.

I keep finding myself trying to make friends and finding girlfriends who exhibit toxic behaviors and misconstruing their behavior as a measure of affection not realizing I'm setting myself up to be a power source of another narcissist. I know I am a part of this toxic cycle but I can't see clearly.

I like art that is considered imperfect but has more character and makes a greater impression by those imperfections than art that is too perfect, too clean and has little identity. Imperfect art has an artist present in the piece. "Perfect" art seems as though it has left the artist behind.
