#IDC2025 attendees gathered to Whales of Iceland Museum for this years conference dinner —celebrating Best Paper Awards, connecting over local bites, and exploring life-sized whale sculptures. A memorable evening of recognition and reflection.

#IDC2025 Work-in-Progress Session 2 was a vibrant round of lightning talks and poster conversations. Researchers shared emerging ideas from co-designing inclusive AI literacy tools and playful robotics for healing, to building babyGPTs and exploring AI in classrooms.

#IDC2025 welcome session introduced this year’s theme: Hope. It celebrated our organizers, volunteers, and sponsors—and gave stats on papers and acceptance rates. Yasmin Kafai’s keynote called on us to empower children as curious, creative, and critical designers in an AI-driven world.
