We work in the:
⚖️ Courts | 🏛 Legislature | 🗣 Communities to protect civil liberties for all in Delaware.
As the holiday approaches, join us in making space during the Thanksgiving celebration to acknowledge that all land in Delaware is Indigenous land.

Participating in Thanksgiving with integrity means moving beyond the familiar tales of kind-hearted pilgrims and one-dimensional Native Americans.

🚨 TAKE ACTION 🚨

Delawareans have been clear - we do not want our law enforcement, state agencies, and personnel, and local taxpayer dollars to serve the administration’s attempts to target our immigrant neighbors.

Dover showed up and pushed back. 🗣️

Community members gathered at a Dover City Council meeting to rally against a proposed “pedestrian safety” ordinance.
Thanks to public pressure, Dover City Council moved the ordinance back to committee for further review. Community power works. 💪

Marriage equality stands. 🏳️‍🌈

The Supreme Court declined to take up a case attacking Obergefell, and marriage equality remains the law of the land.

At ACLU-DE, our commitment is unwavering: equality is non-negotiable, and we’ll keep fighting for every LGBTQ+ Delawarean today and everyday.

Record turnout nationwide proved it: when voting is accessible, people vote. 🗳️ Delaware should be next.

Let’s make same-day registration, no-excuse absentee voting, and strong early voting part of our state constitution.

Across the U.S., the ACLU is tracking more than 615 bills targeting LGBTQ+ people and many of these bills also threaten the rights of people with intersex traits.

Everyone in every body deserves the right to live openly and authentically, free from discrimination or political attacks.
