Thanks for this added information. I'm purely an observer here, but I am curious if this replication came out of a replication game or some other origin?

The professionalism these instructors displayed here is outstanding. Shame on OU. This is insane. The student's essay is garbage and should have received a failing grade.

Good insight; makes sense to flag if fossil fuels are 'sunsetting' or not. I'm curious how you see Mexico? It's a case of declining production, meanwhile, there are political projects to revive oil. Though, how much that influences their COP strategy I don't know.

I like your read of COP30. The not mentioning fossil fuels stood out to me the most, though I hope it's something that can be flipped for good/bargained. So, maybe coalition of the willing is able to push harder on NDCs next year because they keep fossil fuels by name out of the text.

Yes, I think that's right, though also not my area. Very interesting about SA ; I also imagine some countries want other actors to slow things down but they don't want to be seen as doing it themselves. And, curious about your take on the COP agreement - it' something, right?

I agree. The current system essentially gives veto power to petro states, and as you point out, why would they ever agree.
