Old one is infinitely cooler!

I’ll be starting out with militarum.

I’m cautiously optimistic. Not so sure about it being ported to consoles day 1. This belays that something pretty major is being changed w the way the game plays imo.

I’d imagine they would have wanted to simplify to catch the broader appeal of 40k market. Idk tho we will see!

Holy shit I caught so much inarticulate rage on the total war Reddit for stating this was obviously what was being worked on for years.

Mental.

What
December 12, 2025 at 12:50 PM
I mean Wes Streeting pretty openly wants to privatise the health system here. Which would mean the cost of medications would skyrocket.
December 12, 2025 at 12:39 PM
I was about to be like how has this just been published did no one flag up how off his head he comes across here.

& then I came to my senses & somehow remembered there are no ethics in British client journalism.
December 12, 2025 at 10:47 AM
I mean I’m British but even I know that most cops in LA have far more in common ideologically with ICE than they do with the average working person.

R u positing that the LAPD would be rounding up ICE agents? Doubt it.

You could see the gods being a pluralistic way of referring to the million different ways the emperor is worshipped in all the different forms he is seen in?

Still a bit of a stretch tho.

Alchoholism is as ruinous as any other addiction & as a substance is arguably just as if not more harmful than heroin.

We need to stop putting people in jail for possession or small time distribution of heroin, in its place we should have a national strategy for dealing with this.
December 7, 2025 at 9:57 PM
Why wouldn’t heroin be banned for children even if u could buy it in the supermarket?
December 7, 2025 at 8:25 PM
… but with alchohol, they would probably be signposted to a scheme that might help them either substance abuse.

You have to be quite aggressively not listening to a single thing that Polanski is saying to think that he wants to legalise heroin dealing en masse.
December 7, 2025 at 8:23 PM
Their position is to make it legal & decriminalise. This means that interventions with anyone who is using will be non-carceral & centered around their health rather than punishing them for its use.

Currrntlt if a kid was found with opiates at a school, they could be excluded, same situation…
December 7, 2025 at 8:22 PM
Health outcomes from sustained use of either or both are bad. I have another close friend who prob won’t survive next five years because of alchohol.

Recrearional drugs being regulated is what the greens are talking about. If you listened to Polanski for a second you would know this.
December 7, 2025 at 7:20 PM
I would. A friend of mine died whilst in the grip of both opiates (prescribed codeine & alchohol). Neither of these things were direct causes of his death but both contributed & were legally acquired.

Alchohol is generally a mixed thing, but in terms of its health outcomes it’s as bad as opiates.
December 7, 2025 at 7:19 PM
So by this logic Kier Starmer wants to sell your kids alchohol because alchohol is legal to purchase. It’s not a very smart line of attack.
December 7, 2025 at 7:15 PM
Altho obviously as someone who works in a pub, I’d be expecting double pay for this. Which the corporate overlords would HATE.
December 7, 2025 at 5:51 PM
Surely they could just open the pubs at midnight or something.
December 7, 2025 at 5:50 PM
Sorry who has Labour helped?
December 7, 2025 at 5:10 PM
Yeah I’m sure it’s a great place to work. I’d be happy to myself.

My only point rly is that the salaries I saw for various positions did not add up to what appeared to be quite a strenuous & stressful workload!
December 7, 2025 at 5:07 PM
They already did this ten years ago & it was humiliating for people.
December 7, 2025 at 2:41 PM
I’ve not heard that or seen that when I have previously looked at jobs there!

If it’s improved that’s a good thing & I would consider working for them if so.
December 7, 2025 at 1:40 PM
The initial salaries & they pay & general expected workload are not great, however.

Doing a bonus scheme like this on top of such is not an amazing way to treat ur staff, as it turns out.
