A few words from our founder.
I launched Absynth a few years ago as a personal music journal. Since then, it's grown into a small team of editors obsessed with music and underground culture. At its core, Absynth has never been about money or clicks. It's about passion: an outlet for our fixation with new sounds, culture, and the conversations they spark. We don't take payment, nor do we charge anyone. Absynth is Ad-free and sponsored solely from my own wallet. Some of us write as a form of therapy, others simply for the love of it all. The joy of discovering new artists and building connections has been incredible. That said, there have been times when we've had to take down reviews-when we've witnessed artists cross the line into racism, bigotry, misogyny, transphobia and toxic, behavior that thrives on bullying, harassment, slandering, manipulation and worse - stalking. We won't lend our platform and our energy to people who poison the very communities they claim to be part of. At the end of the day, Absynth isn't just about spotlighting talents - it's about lifting and making space for others. And we thank you all for your continued support and for supporting the artists we feature. Let's work towards keeping our communities healthy. - Vero

We’re terribly devastated and stunned to hear the untimely passing of legendary synth giant Starcadian. A huge loss for the music world and our synth community. Also, a great dear friend to many of us here.
