Science denialists believe they are the true “skeptics” who are embracing science’s rigor.

They claim they want evidence--but failure to accept well-supported conclusions in the light of overwhelming evidence isn’t skepticism.

It’s denial.

Are Trump's crippling cuts in NPS budget, along with mass firings, step 1 of a plan to privatize our national parks?
Abolish the National Park Service
Revising how America's most beautiful public lands are protected would create more ways for Americans to interact with some of the best parts of the country.

I have not been able to find any information on FY 26 NPS budget that was included in the reconciliation bill that Trump will sign tomorrow. If anyone knows where I can find it, I would welcome your help.

Our National Park,System is the best in the world, and most Americans have highly favorable views of the National Park Service (NPS).

So I have a great idea. Lets eviscerate the the NPS to help pay for an income tax cut.
Trump wants to defund national parks—but they have overwhelming bipartisan support
Trump’s budget would cut more than $1.2 billion of funding for national parks. Experts say parks are among the only third places that have both Republican and Democratic support.

Last week, President Trump removed key protections from a marine protected area that's home to coral reefs, whales, sea turtles, and countless fish. My op-ed for @us.theconversation.com explains why that's bad and we should not do that.

Trump is stripping protections from marine protected areas – why that’s a problem for fishing’s future, and for whales, corals and other ocean life
America’s marine protected areas help fish populations thrive. Trump’s plan to open them to industrial fishing may ultimately harm the fishing industry itself.
