Because Missourians legalized abortion, our constitution protects against criminalization of pregnancy outcomes for pregnant people and their caregivers. Now, politicians are trying to trick us into erasing those protections and banning abortion again so they can then charge us with murder. (1/2)

Hawley’s bill, a product of Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, also includes language that bans trans health care for transgender youth on exchange plans–a clear signal to the deceptive ballot question facing Missourians in 2026 cynically relying on a trans youth care ban to ban abortion. (2/3)

Yesterday, MO Sen. Hawley filed a bill to ban abortion coverage on Affordable Care Act health plans. The federal Hyde Amendment currently prohibits federally-funded health coverage of abortion care with few exceptions; this bill expands this dangerous amendment to everyone on an exchange plan. (1/3)
