They have cheaper cams. If you have a feeder you could quickly get a battery one up and running on Wi-Fi. No AI or smart detections (beyond motion) without a subscription. You can add the focal point thing later if you need, depending on distance from cam and perch.

Wyze (wi-fi) cams are affordable and easy to set up. Using an SD card (for storage) you don't need to subscribe to cloud storage to record and watch.
