Portrait of Ruin is my favorite of the DS vanias. Those games were my shit growing up. I still have the preorder bonus from getting the DS version somewhere. It had this box with a fake wax seal, a soundtrack, art book, timeline mini poster. It was cool.

I wonder if Beyond Good and Evil 2 was one of those games since it's been in development hell longer than Duke Nukem Forever.
Not that I really care if it's canceled since they're following up BGaE 1's notorious cliffhanger ending by making 2 a prequel that looks nothing like the original.

That's fair. I think it'll do fine and possibly do really well if it gets good word of mouth. It's on the Steam best sellers list so at least some people will be online to play it with.

I loved RE7, RE8, RE2R, and RE4R so I trust Capcom to pull it off.
Also thought RE3R was a competently executed game that misunderstood the assignment. I had had fun with it but I played the original after which made me understand why people were so disappointed.
