These are fake images. Yes, auroras are seen from space, and they look pretty amazing... but they don't look like this.

What bothers me on a deeper level is that people accept something as legitimate, without question. This applies to images of animals, space, nature and, unfortunately, to altered or AI created images of actual people along with false quotes. As in my bio "fact check everything."

I understand completely. I certainly want to see actual photos. On another note, I don't think most people realize that the space images of nebulas and galaxies are not shown as we would see them. Elements are assigned colors. What we would see would have little to no color, more of a grey scale.

I really don't mind people posting AI generated images. What bothers me is when they aren't labeled as such and people simply accept things as genuine. It doesn't take a lot of scientific knowledge to at least question images like this.

An enduring truth.

That purpose being to turn the US into a white Christofascist oligarchy.

It is unreal. It's AI.

Well, we all started out as not white, so... what's the problem.

As I recall when images are normal, the term "unremarkable" is typically used.

True. It only works if one pronounces it PEEDO, like the British.

Same here.

Ahhh...thank you. I see it rhymes with the British English pronunciation of the word.

I wish I knew what that alien is called: A Boron? A Didiot? A Smoozer? A Weddo? A Miminal?

I don't believe in a supernatural force for evil, but there are people who fit the agreed upon definition of that word. People who refuse to even try to do something are the personification of the concept of evil.

When conventional norms have completely broken down, conventional responses might not be up to the task.

The moral imperative is pretty straightforward: soldiers shouldn't obey unlawful orders. But as a practical matter, most soldiers are not equipped to make such determinations (nor should we expect them to be). The current debate arises because we all know unlawful orders are being regularly issued.
