Just waiting for my scan now. Reminding myself that even though it will really feel like I've wet myself, I haven't wet myself. (Although I have just had a baby so maybe I have...😆)

My toddler has an Usbourne first experiences book called 'Going to the Doctor' with illustrations by the wonderful Stephen Cartwright. I literally embodied this new mum in the GP waiting room this morning

Round two maternity leave and I'm reminded of all the things that annoyed me last time (!) like the lack of space for prams on public transport. We don't want to take up space designated for wheelchairs but often there are no other options.

How do you deal with a rude colleague? Do you have tips others could use?
I'm looking for contributors to a BMJ article on this topic (image shows a recent example). Please get in touch on [email protected] if your interest and I can share details. Thank you!

We have a slot in @bmj.com where Drs talk about their hobbies (see @academic-owl.bsky.social talking about crochet, as an example) - please let me know if you'd be interested in taking part as your knitting sounds perfect.

It's so fancy here. There's mouthwash in the bathrooms (yes I tried it). I definitely should not have forgotten my smart shoes.

I love the BMJ archive. I was looking for something totally different when I came across this about Temple Bay, a former physician to the Sultan Abdul Aziz. He sounds like an extremely interesting man.
