It mostly worked well. It takes up a lot of class time, and I had to provide extra time outside of class for those who didn't finish in the allotted time, but it was easier to handle that than pulling my hair out over GenAI answers.

I did a lot of in class writing for my surveys this semester, I called them "reflections." Basically gave them a prompt based on primary source readings. They had the sources ahead of time (hard copies) but not the questions. They could have the sources in front of them while they wrote.

Latest update from @britishlibrary.bsky.social says they are launching a new version of their main catalogue on Monday 8 December and around that time also launch an interim version of their Archives and Manuscripts Catalogue. Hooray!
