I'm going over some of my interview transcripts and apparently "no, yeah" and "yeah, no" are some of my frequently used phrases. 😆

Is this a midwestern or millennial thing? or does everyone do it?

Yeah, people sometimes have mood, stomach, and sleeping issues after going off anti-depressants..... because they stopped taking medications that were helping their depression and anxiety, which can cause mood/stomach/sleeping problems. 🤦‍♀️

Why does the google knowledge panel for "ICC" go straight to "International Cricket Council" rather than International Criminal Court????? One seems more important than the other.

EEOC staff will be on administrative leave on April 18 (Good Friday) for the explicit purpose of commemorating Good Friday.

It is very scary that we've gotten to a point where the ruling class casts doubt on election results every single time they don't get the outcome they want.

Fiery Furnace, part of a National Park in Utah, is closed indefinitely as a result of the Trump administration’s hiring freezes.

It is one of the most surreal and extraordinary hikes I’ve ever done. I hope others can experience its beauty again soon. 😔

Tomorrow was supposed to be the last day of work for government employees who opted into DOGE's "Fork in the Road" deferred resignation offer. Today, some of them received this email saying, NOPE.

Trump's latest executive order goes after antidepressants/anti-anxiety meds. www.whitehouse.gov/presidential...

RFK Jr. can pry my SSRIs out of my cold, dead hands. Literally. I (and so many others) would be dead—or close to dead—without them.

About an hour later, an all-agency email was sent out reminding EEOC employees that all-department emails must be "reviewed and approved by the sender's office director before it can be distributed by the sender."
February 3, 2025 at 3:15 PM
An EEOC admin. judge sent a fiery all-department email this AM alleging:
1. Trump's exec orders & instructions to target private citizens with them are illegal.
2. the judge had sent an earlier email with a similar tone yesterday that later vanished from their sent folder & colleagues' inboxes.

USDA workers got another email about the paid resignation offer.

It mentions USDA is “requesting” VERA authority, which generally only applies to people with 20-25 years of federal service. Still no explanation for how 8 months of admin leave is legal.

The TL;DR is “trust us, this is lawful.”
January 31, 2025 at 4:12 PM
Federal workers just received further guidance on the “paid resignation” offer.

Still no information from the admin on their legal authority to do this. Statute says admin leave can only last 10 days. Not 8 months.

A former member of the Hungarian parliament wrote about how authoritarians like Viktor Orbán were able to hijack power and institutions. Let's just say there are some similarities to another prominent politician... www.politico.com/news/magazin...

I agree with some aspects on this piece about the dangers in calling everything—from loneliness to democracy—as existing in states of crises, but this paragraph on pregnancy missed the mark. Just because someone didn't DIE in childbirth, does not mean their birth was totally safe.
