Fact that every category here shows a huge bump fits my hypothesis: Having driven a lot in both countries, it's cultural: The idea that the road is a place to own, dominate, and take up space in is so strong. Folks want to "win" their commute against "opponents" like bikes/pedestrians/other cars.

20-25 people here in Northern Virginia... though several folks came in 15-20 minutes late since there's no good way to know that the movie wouldn't have a half hour of trailers/previews! Ticket websites gotta fix that part

Still feel like McDavid was the only plan they had.
For me, all comes back to "trying to fit key players into a system they aren't suited to", and there not being the courage to find a way to innovate a high-flying playoff approach
