Kopite that used to write a bit.
Made up for Palace. Great fanbase. One of the few who come to Anfield and sing about their own team, rather than other poisonous shit. Well deserved 👏

Many pundits labelled Klopp’s final season ‘The Last Dance’ but are we actually watching that now? A new opinion piece for @thisisanfield on the big rebuild that could follow the big triumph…

Delighted for Elliott. Quality little player who’s deserved more game time this season. Let’s hope that moment puts him back into contention.

Fair to say we were given the run-around there! PSG are a seriously good side but we also gave them plenty of encouragement… so sloppy in possession, particularly up top. Alisson inspired. Incredible individual performance. A good result but huge improvement needed next week.

Really professional display and important win at the end of an intense period. The two goalscorers both outstanding, along with Salah and Diaz until his legs fell off.

Excellent performance that. Liverpool were spot on tactically. Defended brilliantly and countered with menace. The two centre-backs awesome, Szboszlai relentless and Salah a different level.

That’s a far better result if we hang on at Goodison. As it is, hard to shake the feeling we’re stuttering. Likely to run into one on Sunday too. Time for cool heads and a dead eye, something our number 9 has never had. Tonight really should spell the end of his LFC career.

Got what we deserved there. Abysmal for 75 minutes and showed no urgency whatsoever. A rare misstep from Slot too. Make changes by all means but give yourself options from the bench. Gambled and lost.

Wouldn’t mind meeting those in the knockout stage given their showboating at the end there. Taking the piss against what was essentially a youth team. Disrespectful.

The young lads generally equipped themselves well there. They all look comfortable on the ball, none more so than McConnell who was the standout for me. Important minutes for Chiesa too. Ref was shite.
January 29, 2025 at 10:06 PM
Professional performance that. All three starting midfielders excellent.

Hearing ‘You’re Not Singing Anymore’ ringing around Anfield on TV, a day after missing out on an umpteenth Additional Members Sale, was particularly galling. Shite.

Decent performance bar a couple of lapses in concentration. Would like to see us being more clinical generally but job done tonight with a bit of rotation too. Really hope Elliott gets more game time between now and May and sticks around beyond that too.

Serious owners back the manager this month by the way and strengthen a squad that has put itself in a strong position. FSG will, as always, do fuck all and our fanbase is conditioned to that. It’s not good enough.
January 14, 2025 at 10:27 PM
Decent point at a tough ground following a first half performance that left a lot to be desired. Yet you can’t escape the feeling Liverpool have given rivals hope in the last fortnight. A real chance to put our foot down and we’ve stumbled. Have to get back to winning ways ASAP.
January 14, 2025 at 10:10 PM
Professional display and important minutes for a few lads on the fringes. Ngumoha looks a real talent and I hope Danns is trusted more moving forward. That lad knows where the goal is. A word too for Endo, the ultimate pro.
January 11, 2025 at 2:14 PM
The lack of Harvey Elliott these last few weeks is staggering. Fair to say the manager doesn’t fancy him. He will need to learn to trust his squad though because one thing’s for sure… he’s not getting backed in the transfer window!
January 8, 2025 at 10:23 PM
Need to take care of business at the weekend before a huge game on Tuesday. Great work done up to now but there’s a danger a drop in performance gives way to negativity due to the contract standoffs and inevitable (standard) lack of signings this month.
January 8, 2025 at 10:14 PM
Another lacklustre display. The reds out of sorts in successive games now, which is concerning. Badly missing Szboszlai.
January 8, 2025 at 10:13 PM
Maybe our second worst performance of the season? Take the point and move on. Billy Big Bollocks at right-back can fuck off. Playing lads onside and ambling back. Phoning it in. A disgrace.
January 5, 2025 at 7:20 PM
Surely part of Richard Hughes’ remit was to field questions about protracted contract negotiations. It’s unfair, not to mention tiresome, for Slot to continually have to straight bat them. Our Sporting Director has been MIA since July…
January 3, 2025 at 10:11 AM
If you don’t think the player has encouraged that bid you’re naive in the extreme. With Liverpool rightly playing hard-ball he’ll be forced to leave on a free and torch his reputation/legacy. ‘This means more’ though, apparently.

There is no way Alexander-Arnold comes out of this looking good. Going to run the gauntlet for the next five months and deservedly so
December 31, 2024 at 5:49 PM
Really impressive performance, particularly first half where we were so dominant. Salah unplayable and Mac Allister also excellent. Good to withdraw those at risk of suspension with time to spare.
December 29, 2024 at 7:17 PM
The Marca article is clearly right from the Madrid playbook but I think it’s obvious Trent has been off for months. Since before the start of the season even. To abandon your club and your people on a free is unforgivable in my opinion. Bradley should play as soon as he’s fit.
