I lived in Oklahoma. They supposedly taught me Oklahoma history, but they didn't mention the Tulsa thing. I was in my 40s and stunned when I learned they skipped over that, like it wasn't worth mentioning.

I always do. I'm poor, but I have welloff relatives in the area. I get asked to houseset while they run off to Eourpe... or wherever. It's a nice gig. What they call home is a luxury vacation to me. Like, oh no! I have to watch your house again? What an imposition! Lol

It's a beautiful place. That, and Washington and Oregon. I love everything about that whole region.

Actually, I live in Colorado. I spent 47 days living out of that 4Runner. I went from Eureka to San Clemente, all down the coast. I have a bed platform in the back, power, satellite, stove, etc.

I can't imagine the thunder that made when it hit the ground!

Side story. Due to landslide, Hw1 is close south of Big Sur. While there, they were working a bridge north of Big Sur. They told me they were closing the bridge for 2 days, so if I stayed, I could be stuck there. Oh, no! Don't threaten me with a good time! lol

I think you are right. I spent about 3 months in that general area. Hermosa is entirely different, so it wouldn't be that one.
