The latest version of RetroArch I downloaded for Android comes with touchscreen turbo buttons which is perfect with my controller I printed!

I made it with a hacksaw and hot glue James Channel style

I scratched the screen heavily while sanding this down as I guess a piece of grit got between it on test fitting. It needs a very slight wobble as I've found after using hot glue to attach it firmly, the back button is a little harder to register but the overlay it rests on for back is also cut off.

My game is glitching. Do I need to take out the BlackBerry and blow on it

Over a decade ago I made a card that simply had holes drilled through without buttons wedged into a phone case. Might be worth revisiting but I always wanted to make buttons with a conductive rod that would register touch from your hand when pressed. Now have a working prototype and is very playable

I've just hot glued it on for now for testing and it's working 👍

Guys this is insane. First thing I ever design for 3D printing, made it for no reason other than to learn. It's a fucking game controller. Uses no batteries, size of a credit card and fits in a wallet! I'm playing games with it, like this thing REALLY works. Patent pending, patent pending, aamp ip 😅

Thank you! In pressing forward with a design that should fit in a wallet, a working concept has been achieved!

The buttons are capacitive rubber, while the prototype here is a bit thicker than it needs to be, it still fits well! "Velcro" was proposed by a colleague, soft side cushioning the phone!!

I don't see any dpad just a giant joystick which could suck to carry. My concept is to fit it in a wallet since you usually have keys wallet and phone on you. I can't think of how to stick it on or have it work on any layouts. If it works for just me that's fine too lol

I've never properly tried to create a 3d model and thought maybe I'd learn over the next 6 months or so and this is what I created day 1 first attempt! It's all arbitrary and just learning how to make shapes and shit so not for anything in particular but for some freehand practice I'm proud of it 😅

Shit I invented something! Was asked if I ever really gave touch controls a try for retro games. Problem is you can't hold a run button and jump by rolling your thumb. Counts for Only one touch. Thought to wear an o-ring to split touch but they are conductive! Sliced can separate multi touch inputs!

If we did away with keypads on phones for touch instead then why desktop keyboards and game controllers still have buttons?
