Wow.
With #atproto apps, how does one guard against abuse? If there is a breach in a popular app, those apps can overwhelm other applications too right if the breached application begins to over publish to repos?

if you don't stay in the loop when coding with AI you produce a lot more tech debt
the immediate response to that is "we can just make AI fix it" and everyone's been rolling with that
but stop and think about it - this is an absurdly high bar to clear

The thing I have learned recently is to avoid having to write code unless absolutely necessary. Code is liability and the battle to reduce this liability is often worth it.

Wow this article does such an excellent job at articulating the uncomfortable feelings we get when reading something that is so obviously written by an LLM.

Agree…. I thought about doing a “Claude code” theme for my website for kicks. But Claude code coded it in like 10 minutes. And now the excitement and joy of building the thing is just gone. :/

Fascinating post and one I completely agree with. We seem to be building infrastructure for general agents everywhere where it doesn’t really make sense for everyone to own this complexity. Companies should own just business logic and these agents should be flexible enough to work with any use case.

You're not supposed to build the yourself. They're too hard to build well. Just use a general agent, like Claude Code & Codex and customize it
Not everyone needs one.

TIL about a memorial ceremony in Iceland in 2019 to mark the end of a glacier, changing the place name from Okjökull to Ok (jökull = glacier). Uncompromising wording on the bronze plaque:
"This is to acknowledge that we know what is happening and what needs to be done. Only you know if we did it".
