Respectfully disagree. I was so geeked with that ending. It was a rare look at full strength Vader slaughtering without mercy.
I grew up knowing the Empire twist, his redemption in Jedi and watching young Anakin in the theaters. A nearly sympathetic character. So for me, it worked.

Fair. I personally loved The Dark Lord Trilogy novels and would enjoy seeing something in that vein come to the screen.

Undeniably best, at least for adults. They need to follow the formula for newer content. A drama/intrigue story is so much more interesting than rehashed characters and cartoony scenes.
Unless it's Vader. Give me more Vader, but make it an anti-hero action horror.

Pope Francis was antithetical to Trumpism. His faithful have jeered and crooned all day. I don't doubt he's excited for the photo op.
