Both movements try to answer the fundamental question: What happens to a movement when a coalition of (Black) people attempts transgressive change (revolution for OBAA, radical joy for Sinners)? In both, whiteness emerges as the threat because it tries to co-opt/own the mov't for its own purposes.

Smoke = Sergio: Stable revolutionary; foil to Stack/Bob; most efficacious

In fact -- and this will be highly controversial -- OBAA and Sinners advance the same fundamental commentary! They have the same character types!
