i dont know what happened to this artist (they deleted their acct, i assume they got ran off by shitheads) and i dont remember the username. i dont know this person outside of their artwork but i felt like i understood another person more that day and i am glad i looked at their work

i eventually came across a comic sequence by then where a character amputates their own limbs, and then is later shown to be getting taken care by someone else and i think thats when i got it

not in a judgmental way mind you. i mean in a “what makes this person enjoy these things” (i have no clue if they considered it sexy or not, it sorta seemed half and half)

if an advertiser sees “this guy didnt send back anything”, you stick out like a sore thumb. if an advertiser sees “this guy is generic windows + chrome user #375829”, then they really dont have anything

practical small scale example: advertisers try to fingerprint you by collecting a lot of information from your browser/computer in order to track you across websites. if you want to stop that, the wrong move is to send *zero* information—instead you want to send over whatever the most common info is

this is also how Destiny 2 loves to do things (hope you aren’t a newcomer because we are going to blast you with like 4 or 5 cutscenes that make absolutely no sense if you haven’t been playing since day 1!!!)

im fine with it mainly bc i am a strong believer in that [fully automated] ai art should be free (in libre and gratis). it makes no sense to charge people for art they could make. i think it should be ok to put ai music on bandcamp (but it has to be locked at pwyw no minimum or free) but this is ok
