I encouraged my daughter to do that too, to mix humanities and sciences. Turned out that ruled her out of Oxbridge / Imperial applications for sciences . Sorry to be a downer but I hoped we were over that.

Maybe the 'Chinese room' is actually the other way around. People now can produce the correct responses to questions and it is unknown if they they are 'truly intelligent'?

Green Man was another scary one. The Warrior (now Tescos I think) was fun for jungle/D&B nights in the late 90s also a bit dodgy. Only pub in the area that resisted all change for decades is the Hermits Cave in Camberwell.
