I think I would try a different rescue. Usually the city pound or humane society will let you walk in to adopt. Good luck in your search.

Oh I see. Yes it can be frustrating to apply for many and not have the chance to adopt. I was carless for many years and have cats. But I lived in a city where i could get cabs. Maybe living in a rural area now shadowed my statement.

And a meet and greet is necessary as photos don't tell you anything about personality, etc.

Sad to say but if you are unable to get to an adoption event, they will likely be wondering how will you take your cat to the vet? Or did I misunderstand why you can't get there?
