Personally I would switch to Bazzite now to get accustomed to Linux and then if Valve releases SteamOS for a 3rd party hardware you could switch if you want. Installing different Linux distros is not hard. Also you get to avoid all that Microsoft bloat and tracking.

I definitely recommend trying it if you like gaming or just want an OS that works really solidly without too much tweaking. It is immutable so if you want a Linux distro that allows more customization I'd say go with Fedora or something mutable.

The vents are on the bottom but the intake is on the back. I'm happy to hear it wasn't left on the blanket long. Just an FYI, even leaving it there for short periods of time may not overheat it but you are sucking in small amounts of dust and lint in. Being hard to clean I'd recommend not doing this

My god! Hey that Stream Deck off that comforter! You are suffocating it. You do know the intake cooling fan is on the back right bottom of the unit, right?
