I’m with you 100% on what you suggest. Nimmo was a liability in LF - hobbled at times with one of the weakest LF arms in MLB. Now the Mets have a net of $30M in commitments to use for other players. Semien’s Gold Glove improves the up-the-middle defense which is what Stearns wanted.

Nimmo has become a terrible left fielder with a rag arm. He seemed to hit in spurts - slumping with the other “big 3” - and then getting hot. The other thing is the Mets netted $30M because Nimmo is owed $101M and Semien $72M. Suggests Mets will also move McNeil + ?? for a LF. How about Bellinger?
