I'm sure not a coincidence with Halloween coming up and whatnot, but I just started doing foam armor for the kids this year and was just thinking it could make a great after-school program!

Does bsky do #FlowerFriday?

Just some farm field flowers that made me happy. (Food forest, even!)

Sometimes I think about hitting the button on posts like this just to see what would happen.

I did, however, walk around for a couple of hours at the con and did not have this shirt recognized, so - room to grow? 😂

I opened up the comments on the fb post to see if the artist was discussed. The first (buried) comment was indeed someone discussing the artist, in this case because he is semi-famous in bio art. But the original poster replies thanking them and saying they tried to find the artist and couldn't.

I used Lens to search for the artist. Google did not know. THIS IS BECAUSE this image has been shared so many times without attribution. I had to dig through dozens of shares of the image before I found a blog post by Duke University that added a caption with Ray's name (good job, Duke).

I posted about this on mastodon years ago, but it bears repeating: if you care about artists, CREDIT their work when you use it.

I saw this amazing infographic shared on facebook and its situation with credit tells a story that is critical context on AI art outrage today. (The artist is Ray Troll.)

I couldn't help it, I'm sorry

Kind of a v1 prototype (I want to do another, better one) but I made an Amida Buddha #Lego minifigure for a dharma school activity this past weekend.

Thought for sure this was a hallucination, but no -- this is actually how you can propagate moss. Sometimes reality is weirder than even #AI can come up with. #Moss, I raise a glass to you. 🍺

Greetings from Milky Way! Was my favorite as a kid and shows it. There is a Plum Blossom and a Tiffany in another box somewhere around here. I'm kind of bummed at how Buttons has faded.

@seananmcguire.bsky.social Picked up Indian food for dinner tonight and the chicken tikka masala was super tomato-ey. Couldn't help but think of Sarah.

It's really incredible here. (Seattle, a bit south of you.)

Headed to #gdc. And here's your reminder that even if you don't want to mask at the event, doing so as you travel reduces the risk of being a vector!

Amazing to get this update from #PasadenaBuddhistTemple. Local neighbors climbed the fence to put out spot fires in the temple gardens. Heroic work from Rev. Gibbs and temple members who repeatedly watered down the exterior to protect it from the fire that reached up Montana. 🙏

We moved to #Seattle and it's absolutely obnoxious how happy this place makes me. I don't think seeing Rainier on the descent will ever get old. On the one hand this is a terrible photo of it, but on the other I love it, the snow and rock just melting in and out of the clouds.
