Not worth following. Read more, say less.

Mostly absent. Let yourself out.
“The Deep State”, or as it’s better known “the OBR, the Treasury and the fucking capital markets.”

I’m counting the hours until we get ‘Alfredo Astiz was an anti-imperialist’, and a frank admission of what happens to the islanders if Argentina succeeds a second time, because the vibe I’m getting is ‘anywhere between deportation, ESMA 2.0 and Amritsar in the sleeting rain, I don’t care.’

The orange chocolate rum was a favourite. No idea if that’s still around.
If you’re Osaka-bound there is (was ?) a Kit Kat Chocolatory at Namba station and a Kit Kat store near the Rinku ferris wheel, not far from the bridge out to KIX.

So…how discreet do you need to be to be ?

I’ve blocked whoever this is, or they’ve blocked me. Is this the Argentinian Falklands obsessive who kicked off the whole ‘don’t make me applaud the Brits’ thread, and if so does he turn out to be a fan of non-British colonialism ?

For the high latitude sailing types out there his other Falklands book ‘Falkland Islands Shores’ is still a useful accompaniment to any sailing trip to the islands.

with the task force as part of the amphibious planning team.

Lots of detail on the local politics pre-82 and the U.K. government’s handling of what it regarded in the main as an obscure nuisance.

around.

Useful background to the whole debate is Ewen Southby-Tailyour’s book ‘Reasons in Writing’, which gives a Royal Marine Commando officer’s perspective on the islands. He commanded the rotating RM det for about a year pre-82, spent a lot of time mapping the bays and beaches and went back

The islands fully merit the ‘four seasons in one day’ weather advisory; sunshine at breakfast means grab a parka before you head outside.

That said, getting out into Camp is a joy if you like the outdoors. West Falkland and its surrounding islands are the best of it, but certainly expensive to get

Did she carve that turkey by forcing it through a desk fan ?

Mac and no cheese is always a big hit too.

I don’t know why, but every single food item in that photo looks like it’s being served stone cold.

You could replace ‘Ajax’ with quite a few words in the MoD’s illustrious procurement history.

On the plus side we’re finally getting Boxer.

RN and RAN simultaneously regretting that the USN is in these straits and relieved that their frigate woes now look like small beer.

Mind you, we’re the country that looked at CV90 - serious user base, hot upgrades for multiple variants - and grabbed Ajax with both hands.

There’s a bingo chart circulating between l’Hexagone, DRM, Noisy-le-Sec and Aubagne where they cross out a unit name every time Candace implicates it in this bullshit.

By this time next week the only part of the French state that hasn’t been blamed will be a ticket seller at Saumur tank museum.
