They were most likely aware of her reduced assets affecting fan reaction, so they tried to compensate with better writing. And of course fan service, yeah. She couldn't be just a pair of tits with wooden acting this time around.

Might well been that. However some fans do think the sequel has actual entertainment value from just slightly better writing.
Also bit better acting. She seemed much more involved in the sequel, and co-actors weren't shy about handling her.
In the first movie everyone seemed bit scared to touch her.

She most likely enjoys it. Probably dabbled in it before her wizard adventures. After returning to her homeworld, she's mostly just exhausted about having to do the acting with her full boobs. Movie producer wants as many movies as possible with her boobs still fully inflated.
