I read it this year because it is a classic and I wanted to better understand The Wide Sargasso Sea.

You all may not agree, but IMO this was clearly going to be an amazing trilogy, and then it feels like he pumped the breaks and tried to stretch it. I would recommend anything after the 3rd.
